If you don't have a puddle under your car or a spot that shows up from dripping, and you not over heating,I'd go get your thermostat replaced and get a coolant system flush.
The thermostat is just a recommendation since your doing the flush.
Your car will be hooked up to a machine via the top radiator hose. The cars water pump pushes the old fluid out and puts new fluid in everything. The radiator, the heads, the heater core etc. If your water pump is not working properly this service can't be performed so the mechanic will know right away if your having water pump issues. If the service can be done it will have nothing but brand new fluid in it and no brown crap in it.

IF it is NOT leaking and is NOT noisy, it is probably ok. The only other thing to go wrong is IF the impeller has striped for some reason.....maybe a nut or bolt left in the cooling system.
If you will remove the radiator cap, start the engine up, when the thermostat opens up you will be able to see the water flowing in the radiator. Good luck. Pops

These cars all had issues with "BROWN COOLANT". Unfortunately, to restore the system to green coolant, you'll need to flush EVERYTHING in the cooling system THOROUGHLY, a few times, to get it right, ESPECIALLY the radiator. I've never seen it myself personally, but I've heard of the water pump fins being chewed of on some of these cars. Oh, before I forget, this applies only if your car is equipped with the 3.0L 12 valve V6. Otherwise, disregard everything in this post. Hope this helps.

If you check for leak look around bottom of water pump to see any green coolant .If you want to check for flow ,just disconnect 1 heater hose one connect to water pump anh start car up ,if you see water flow out it mean water pump working. If the hose connect to water pump at the level lower than the pump ,you better disconnect that heater hose at heater core side.
