Do you have hamsters? Clean the cage regularly. If not then you have a mouse problem and need to set out traps.

MY house smells like a kitty litter box.
Actually, my house pretty much IS a litter box.

You might have a leak somewhere and it is getting moldy. Check all your windows, doors, and roof vents for leakage. Get some caulking and put a stop to any leakage before it gets really bad and irreparable.
