Stuck.I have to break this down using quadratic equation?
I foiled my answer down to 4x^2 -100x + 600 = 400^2

first, take the 400^2 to the left side. you now have

4x^2-100x-159400=0

now use the quadratic equation to solve for x.

where a=4, b=-100, c=-159400

you will get fairly large numbers for x....

If by "break this down" you mean you need to find the answers, you need to get all your terms on one side so the equation has the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0. They you can use the quadratic formula ( -b +or- SQR(b^2-4ac))/(2a)
