breeding bettas is a very interseting hobby. it is very very expensive. and you cant just go to walmart and buy to fish and they take care of them like you would molly or swordtail. to get anywhere you need a couple of OOPS 's to figure out how to do it.this beeder is good at explaning it. But really I wouldnt advice on doing it unless you have a lot of time and experience on your hands.

It sounds like you need to do a lot of reading. It's a difficult process. If thig go well you'll have 100+ baby bettas. Please read betta talk, and a couple of the other links people have shon you.

Minimum equipment for breeding:
1 male
1 female
2 betta tanks/bowls
1 10 gallon tank (breeding tank)
food for the (fry micro worms, infusia, or specialize fry food)

after you get your female betta put the female inside the male tank only after the male has finished the nest (bubbles that flaot on top) leave them alone for a couple of minutes let the male circle the female and go around it, they may fight and the male will somtimes bite the females fin off, if they get to aggressive take the female out ang get a diffrent pair, if they start mating leave them once there done take the female out before the male starts fighting. i would suggest using a big tank and keeping the water temp. over 70 deg.
