heheh.... yeah the above ^ ^ ^ should fix it right as rain ... try opening a program and seeing what happens first though. if it runs ok, then that'll be fine.. if it doesnt however, be prepared for control panel potentially not starting up (still try it however) and general wierdness to happen. associating .exe files to some other random program used to be a top ruse to mess computers up bigtime, as no programs could run from there on out, even the one windows was trying to run to "open" them inside itself... say hello to the massive circular loop.

if you can get the previous tip to work, then it should all go back how it was right as rain and you can forget about it. if it doesn't, then you'll have to use the system restore one - and might need to use a rescue disc, or restart windows and bring up the safe mode start menu while it's booting (sorry, i don't know in detail how to do this) to go back to the "last known good" setup.

either way, there's a good chance your brother did this maliciously on purpose, hoping to wreck your system, so i'd go kick his @$$ good and let him know you'll do it harder each time he screws with your pc.

Once you've fixed it - hopefully with a simple system restore (Start - programs - accessories - system tools - system restore); create a user account for your brother and give him limited privileges. And password protect your account. You can do that from control panel - user accounts.
Although he'll probably know how to hack in...

password your stuff if you share the computer with your brother. if it is yours alone, beat your brother and then password your entire computer.
