It really does, unfortunately not alot of the old Xbox games are in Hi Def. The visuals are more sharp, and the colors are vivid and solid. It looks very good in Hi Def.

On bigger hdtv's previous video games seem an entire mess on unique xbox and not lots extra perfect on 360 in simple terms as they could on a ps2 on smaller hd say 19/17 inch video games that have been designed to look terrific and did like fi.al fantasy 12 seem great although :)

It looks WORLDS better on an HDTV, but you'll have to get component cables for it.

Look at the cables in the box - that's what you want.

For Halo 3 - you're going to have to get an Xbox 360. Also, for a 360, HDTVs are almost required. Some games (Dead Rising) you can't even read the text on without HD.

notice that regular xbox doesnt have an hdmi or any other type of hd cable, it just has AV. so we can conclude that xbox is the same on hd as regular TV use common sense!!!

It would need HD output. Otherwise it would look the same as long as the set were compatible with that video signal.
