People keep saying it's Clintons fault... but I don't see how it had anything to do with him, if they had one before he was president?

Even in an interview on the Daily Show with John Stewart, former Secretary of State James Baker let it slip that North Korea “...had a rudimentary nuclear weapon way back in the days when I was secretary of state, but now this is a more advanced one evidently.” He was Secretary of State between 1989 and 1992.

so they had them before Clinton was EVEN PRESIDENT according to James Baker... was he lying?

You must have misheard. NK had a breeder reactor in that period, but no nukes. China was allies with NK but that never extended to nukes.

The technology to enrich the uranium and actually construct the device was possible after the 8 years that Kim Jong il lied to Clinton about his nuclear plans. Clinton gave him financial aid for his impoverished country. KJi then took the money and rather then work on his infrastructure he obtained the technology.

That is why the US has maintained it will only deal with NK in multi-lateral tests. They have been burned twice with Clinton and once with Bush and the rest of the countries in that multi-lateral groups. KJi is not to be trusted an cannot be, he agrees to treaties, received the aid and continued with his program.

It is unlikely that he has nukes now. The first seismic event surrounding the first explosion was very mild for a nuke unless it malfunctioned. There was no seismic signature for the second device he claimed to have detonated. He is bluffing, just like Saddam did about his WMD to force action on the part of he US and world. I imagine he believes this will make him the victim, entitled to reparations, instead of the aggressor.

Nuking may be a final motel on account that fall out might carry into North Korea as properly as China and Japan. North Korea may be must be very desirous to launch a nuke on South Korea.

this was a concept to build one!they had bad neuclear facilities and couldn't build one period.so bill clinton and jimmy carter went over to no.ko.and gave them the plans for a state of the art reactor..top secret i might add..the congress on both sides were irate but he did it anyway because of a trade deal with china..do your self a favor, don't watch the daily show for news ,it is fake.. it makes liberals that are decent look bad..
