sometimes your local Salvation Army has programs to help out. You can also look up a program called Echo. It depends on where you are, but if you call the local Human Services office (where you apply for food stamps) they can give you a list of numbers to call for help.

If you are not already on a needy list, good luck with any government agency. If you were self employed before and a middle aged white man, then pack you bags, you are in the wrong country and the streets are paved with homeless white men. Billions spent or war machines and general salaries, given to foreign government's corrupt officials, but we can't take care of our own public. The Churches as well have become very particular in whom they aide.
