Detroit Red Wings!!!! They rock. Been a fan since the 1980's. I was there when there weren't very good, and still there now. My second favorite team always has been and always will be the Montreal Canadiens. I always liked the Oilers because of Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier (not to mention others). I get some funny looks because the Oilers beat my Wings every time they played them in the playoffs. 1987, 1988, and 2006. I do have a lot of respect for the Toronto Maple Leafs because of the age old rivalry with the Wings. The Wings and Leafs have met up with each other more times in the Cup final than anyone else. And I used to think the Hartford Whalers were kinda neat back in the day. They were a nice little small market team. Plus they traded Brendan Shanahan to the Wings. Always grateful for that.
