My school is having a "decades dance" where you dress up in the style of the 1920s to the 1970s. I don't really want to be a poodle girl, because that's what EVERYONE is doing. I want something unique.

*Is the jean skirt with tights and side ponytail 70s or 80s??

I think the jean skirt with tights is the 80's the side pony tail is probably late 70's early 80's.
You could dress like a flapper girl from the 20's. Iknow what the dresses look like but know know what they are called-sorry. Or you could dress in bell bottoms and oversize flowery shirts like the 60's or was that the 70's.

why don't you go as a go-go girl from the 60's? You could wear a cute miniskirt, boots, and awesome colorful top! Or, if you want the 70's look, try bell bottom jeans, sweater vest, Farrah-Fawcett style hair (think Charlie's Angels)! Please check out this aweome website I found for you, it has pictures of every decade of fashion. And have fun!
