It is safe if you are sure you are on eBay or PayPal. Make sure the page is encrypted (https). Do not give account numbers to sellers, only eBay or PayPal.

I order on ebay constantly and have over the past five years. I've never had any kind of problem using my credit card. They offer a service called PayPal which makes it secure to pay.

Yes e-bay is totally safe if you get a lot of information on the seller. Make sure that you know their address, phone, and any other information about that person. I have bought things from e-bay before and never had any trouble with it.

It is safe, but, be aware that some people use it to get your email and spam you with fake E-Bay and Pay-Pal mail to scam you. IF, you receive email from EBay or Pay-pal go to the EBay web site and check it out. I got stuff like; "You Pay-Pal account has been Charged" it was scam stuff. Other than that I never had a problem.

theres not another way to pay. i really reccomend using amazon instead of ebay! i had an ebay account and i dont know what happened with it but i kept getting all these random items in the mail! we got a toaster, a signed daniel radcliffe poster, leg warmers, anime stickers, and a sewing machine!! it was so weird! then my mom got her bill from ebay and she was being charged for all this stuff! we dont know if someone got our password or if it was just a glitch in ebay or something else. she called coustomer service and got her money back and then she deleted the account. and we stopped getting random things in the mail. i dont know but ebay is just weird. try going to www.http://amazon.com its basically the same and its way safer. we now have an amazon account! be careful with ebay!

there are alot of ebay phising sites, they look like ebay but are there just so people will enter their credit details for hackers to use,i recently had someone hack my account and actually use it to sell shonky merchandise.i have since cancelled my account.Long story short it is risky but then again its probably the best site on the net for buying and selling,if you have to use it do so.but if you can get the same stuff at your local walmart or whatever than your better off doing that.

I call it "Evilbay" LOL because it made ordering so easy that I bought stuff I'd never buy otherwise! But in my 4+ years there the only complaint I have about the site is the Spam you get! I think everybody gets it I forward it to Spoof@paypal.com the stuff from ebay too!

sign up for a paypal account, and check the seller's ratings and feedback. Paypal is the safest way to assure your account security. It's free and easy to set up but it will take a few days before you can use your paypal account. I use ebay all the time and have never had a problem doing it that way.

Yes. You're only giving you number to Paypal. The sellers never actully get your number, they are credited by Paypal to their Paypal account. I have never had any problems with it. It never hurts to be paranoid, especailly with credit card numbers, though.
