I started a new job a few weeks ago and last thursday I was talking to my supervisor's supervisor trying to make small talk when she said her stomach was hurting. i asked her if she was pregnet and she said NO!. Oops! She's not fat but her stomach pocks out like she is. Since then she's only been eating yogurt for lunch.

Well, I'm a guy, so I find it best never to bring up pregnancy, menstruation, or anything else uniquely female. If she wants to talk to me about it, she'll have to start that conversation.

It sounds like she may have took your comment to heart. Next time you see her, try to compliment her weight in some way. Saying something such as "why are you only eating yogurt? you're thin!" may boost her confidence. If you feel like it, you should also tell her that you only made that comment because of her statement about her stomach hurting. Just try to make her feel better, because a lot of people will go insane with comments about being overweight. Learn from this mistake, and never question pregnancy with another woman again. This happens a lot and can and will hurt people's feelings.

I feel soooo sorry for you right now. Maybe you should try to explain that it was just a concern, not that you thought she was fat. Unless you think the yogurt thing is totally unrelated...which I doubt.

maybe her stomatch was hurting from eating too much and now that she feel offended now she cut back and started substituting her meals but if she is pregnant shes starting of in the wrong direction and its not healthy but overall tell her your sorry .....

.....Never tell a woman she looks pregnant. You should apologize and tell her that if her stomach still hurts, she should see a doctor. It's probably just the stomach flu though.
