I know this girl that only dates based on whether her sign is compatible with his. Do you think there is some truth to dating or marrying based on your astrology sign?

There are plenty people that believe in astrology, I'm not one of them. What sign you are has nothing to do with whether you are meant to be with a man or woman. To me astrology is just entertainment.

I have been with a Pisces for 6yrs and I am an Aries Our signs are complete opposites I am fire and he is water....We are totally happy with each other. Of course we have our fights but there hasnt been anything we could not overcome. I have read numerous books about our signs compatibility and the earlier books say that we will end however the more recent books say we can co-exist it is just a matter of how we overcome our differences. I used to be the same about dating the right sign until I met my pisces and i woulnt trade him for anything in the world. So tell your friend to lighten up and start researching the signs a little bit and she will learn that most signs are compatible it is just overcoming the differences the right way. I dont think there is any truth in marriage and your astrology sign or we still wouldnt be together.

Yes; we match based on our signs; but, even if we didn't.. I'd have still given it a go. I don't read astrological stuff daily or surround my life around it, but the description of the 2 signs is pretty accurate. Astrology is interesting to read, even though it's usually hit and miss. Unlike that girl, I wouldn't based life decisions on it.. she might miss out on great guys that way

I read my horoscope everyday, but I do not believe half of them.
I am a taurus and my wife is a capricorn and we are totally different of what the astrology sign reads. I love s_x and she does not want it. I like having friends over to my house, and she does not want anyone visiting. She cleans all the time, and it drives me nuts. She watches CNN, and the other news station, and I only watch maybe 5 minutes of it. I enjoy being on the computer, and she hates computers. I do not mind going to the doctor when I am sick or ill, and she WILLNOT go to a doctor.
I would not use the astrology to marry or date a person. You might want to write down your likes, dislikes and share them together if you want to stay together. Good Luck.

no. don't rely on astrology sign. i think its just some form of entertainment so don't take it seriously. based on astrology, my husband & I are have totally contrasting personality making a relationship a disaster. wow! it's good we used our common sense & trusted our feelings. we are now married for 10 years & blessed with a beautiful daughter. our relationship is even stronger than before.

I do not live my life by astrology, but I believe in it to a certain extent. I am a Sagittarius as is my husband, and I am surrounded by other fire signs, which is pretty stereotypical. We are very happy, indeed.

My wife and I are totally NOT compatible and I wish I knew this before we said "I DO"...because I'm so not happy with my life with her now...and I believe she feels the same.
I'm Aquarius with Capricorn rising and Moon in Gemini. She's Pisces with Leo rising and her Moon is in Hell, I think :(

Yes, it's a lot of truth, my husband is serious and slow, I am totally opposite. I love to spend, he is cheap; I am out going, he is a home body, what can I say, opposite attract (smile). Yes signs are real, to an extent.

nope! I am an Aquarius woman who married a Scorpio man! We are not supposed to get along at all according to astrology, but we are very happy
