Meet the Beatles. I was in the 7th grade when that album came out and it changed my life. I still listen to it often. "I Want to Hold Your Hand" made me a Beatles lover for life.

1. A Hard Day's Night - because it was their first album containing entirely songs written by the band - a rarity in those days. Plus, it's the soundtrack to a delightful movie.
2. Rubber Soul - An album where every track could have been a hit single - it was so good, it in turn inspired the Beach Boys to create "Pet Sounds," arguably their greatest album.
3. Sgt. Pepper's - It was revolutionary from the album artwork and the inclusion of the lyrics (again, a first) to the experimental sounds and techniques, the idea of a concept album, and how each song still stands out even though they were written far longer than twenty years ago today...
4. The White Album - for the sheer volume and variety of the work on there - and for the fractious recording sessions which was the beginning of the end for the band - and again, in direct contrast to Sgt. Pepper's, for its daringly minimal album cover.

I love The Beatles. My favorite album is One because it shows the progression of their music throughout the years. My favorite song "Blackbird" is on that album. Second choice is the White Album.

I personally think the White Album is brilliant. It has such diversity with songs like Sexy Sadie, Goodnight, Let It Be and Every Body's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey. Brilliant.

White Album. While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Back in the USSR, and Revolution is why they are the best.
Rhonda, Blackbird is not on One
