anything that holds emotional value in your life. Me personally, it's real mellow stuff, like alexi murdoch or this band called bela. And then on the flip side, purely musical stuff does it too. If anyone is looking for some great bands that have no singing, just music, check out mogwai, mono, and pelican. Awesome awesome stuff. That can do it for me too.

Mellow rock songs from heavy metal bands, they're usually the most passionate, IMO. I also like mysterious Marilyn Manson songs like Count To Six And Die and Dried Up, Tied And Dead To The World.

I listen to soft rock (Celine Dion, old Mariah Carey, Monster Ballads)...anything slow and sad, to complement the way that I am feeling.

I know it's corny, but that song from Vertical Horizon always makes me cry. "The Best I've Ever Had."
