We all know the story. She was the first women to pilot a plane. But what happened to her after? Her strange disapearance after she set the record still wanders peoples minds today. She and her navigator, Fred Noonan, are believed to have run out of fuel somewhere in the vicinity of Howland Island and crashed into the sea, losing their lives. The romantics and cynics have, as usual, come out of the woodwork with their own theories, but never offer definitive supporting proof.
