vehicle has overheating problem w/ the fans being direct & no thermostat but it first builds presser then overheats (possible heater core or warped head?)

yeah it sounds like your head gasket or a cracked head, only because you said that it buils up pressire 1st them over heats. Classic sign of head problem.

If your radiator cap does not hold pressure than the system will overheat as well. Also could be a flow issue. Flush the system from top to bottom by putting a water hose in the top radiator hose and flushing the engine and radiator. Drain the system into a bucket or something by using the petcock on the bottom of the radiator. make sure to fill it up with a 50/50 mixture of coolant to water and add some start car and watch it it will burp then continue to fill. good luck

probably a head gasket blown, or a warper head. could also be a stopped up radiator. cheaper to try the radiator first.
Start the engine with the radiator cap off. If you see lots of air bubbles coming out when the engine heats up, its probably the head gaskets. common problem on both the sable and the tarus

the six cyclinder were very prone to have head gasket problems
also you may be looking at a bad water pump.
check for coolant in the exhaust and or white smoke from the tail pipe

head/head gasket, the heater core shouldn't make it over heat even if its plugged, you can easily by pass the core to be sure.
