Sounds like you're trying to spin a story or have a chip on your shoulder over something you didn't have to indure.

The first known existence of slavery as an institution was created by people of color in Africa and Egypt. The monster they created eventually came back to bite them.

A better paper would be the indelible influence that this country's act of abolishing slavery had on the world.
