I think Ford is a good buy. They are taking the steps they need to to turn the company around, reducing the dividend and buying out employees, cutting costs. I think I would buy in steps, not all at once. I think either Ford or GM is going to make it, but probably not both. And I think Ford is going to be the one. Kirk Kerkorian may pull out of GM and if that happens I think its going to make it tough for them. I think the price of Ford could doube in the next year. Just because one person loses money in the market doesnt mean investing is a bad thing. And stay away from Crammer. He's an entertainer. Thats all.

Ford is going to be down for a while, about to undergo same as GM recently went through, 2 years ago. Ford has a liberal employment policy, hurts old time employee morale.
Stellar brand, is still worth a lot of money, and they make the best domestic car. Long term play only, it's cheap, but dead money for a while. You will not see much action on this stock for a long time, but it will come in !

As you will discover, you have all varieties of solutions. to a minimum of one that needs to make a terrific investment, those solutions ought to be very complicated. you should ask your self with reference to the Ford Motor company. they had an excellent previous, little doubt. So did Woolworth's, Bethlehem steel and (of direction) Enron. i'm not saying a similar holds genuine for the Ford Motor company. quite a few factors place the corporate in a extreme place. they have many retirees residing off of pensions, and Ford needs to honor them. they have great opposition from opposition. And, their products are starting to be extremely inferior interior the final decade. i like the forged previous Fords they used to show out. while they went to the lighter, bigger SUV variety autos that don't arise, they lost lots. most of the autos on the line at present would not have been made. they are desirable heavy and firms to show on their edge. and that they hinder the view of the line. I wrote to Ford to tell them approximately this. Their answer did not advise doing something to make a extra perfect product. So, the main substantial question is in spite of if Ford will come out with a popular new product a ways extra suitable to what the contest has. in the event that they have plans for the variety of motor vehicle, then i could be susceptible to acquire the inventory at those low expenses. on the grounds that I haven't any way of understanding what Ford products will appear like interior the destiny, i will steer sparkling from their inventory and seem someplace else for unblemished companies, like Microsoft.

Now is a good time to buy it. They are poised for a rebound. They are shedding their old workers (with buy outs), consolidating their dealer networks, and developing unique new products (e.g. Ford Edge).
Many people don't realize the stock market is like a department store. Buy good products when they are cheap, don't wait until it's expensive.
