I'm xpert for romance! Look, I can't give you advice, I can give you something more! A scenario! If you have money, you could rent the room at some nice hotel, with jakuzzi... Or, if you have conditions , you could do all in your house... By conditions I mean that your house should be empty. You can't propose your woman if your brother is demolishing his toys, or something like that. So, we need empty house. Buy candels and a lot of roses. Lots and lots of roses. make dinner . Something nice and simple. Maybe spaghetti or lasagna... Buy a few envelopes, or some nice decorated papers (all should be same). Now, invite your girl a few days before to come to your house at xact time you say! Put a note on your front door saying: Come in darling, or something like that. Now you should play hide and seek, with notes leading to another notes. Candles should be everywhere. Table should be set up with dinner and champagne. But it's just a scenery . Leave rose pettals on floor leading to a note. Place note on sofa,or table in which says where is other note (Perhaps a kitchen cupboard), also having rose pettals making a way to it. Inside the cupboard place a framed picture of you two together. Put some pettals there also. And another note saying : go to (pick something, I dont know your appartment). There you sould leave your shirt and a note saying : go to bedroom. On the way to the bedroom put also rose pettals , but leave your trousers on the floor. Now, the real surprise is in the bedroom, and the surprise is you! The pettals should leave the trace to the bed. Throw them alot on the bed and pillows. You should wear nothing but two ribbons and boxers(slips, jockeys or whatever you usually wear). One ribbon should be tied around your neck just like the bow tie . I suggest that it should be red color. The other one tie around your ... waist, like a belt, but the knot should be on your, you know what... ha ha... Now, It would be absolutely fabulous if you could buy red sheets from silk or satin, and to use white rose pettals . And don't forget the candels!
And now, about the ring... You can hold it with both hands behind your back, or you can be naughty and put the box inside your boxers... Set the mood with as many romantic details you can. Play the right music. Techno, house and metal are not advised... LOL . I suggest Bon Jovi (bed of roses,), John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John- you're the one that I want, Chris de Berg - Lady in red, Tom Jones - She's a lady, Brian Addams - have you ever really loved a woman.... You know, the love classics. make this compilation, and ofcourse add your couple's song. If you have a jakuzzi, you could have a bath together or something.
About the same act of proposal, you could always tell her that she is a dream come true, that you wanted a perfect girl, but you got more, you got her. Tell her that although you'll give your best, not every day she will walk on roses. there might be some thorns. but with your love, you will pass it all through. Together. Forever.

buy some beautiful red roses and tie a red ribbon around the stems to make a bundle. Secure the ring in the ribbon. When you present her with the flowers, get down on one knee and propose....she will see the ring on the ribbon on the roses!

take her to a romantic place like where you guys first kissed or where you went on your first date and then tell her everything you love about her and how you want to spend the rest of your life with her and then get on one knee!!! good luck
