We currently not together but working on getting back together in the near future his birthday is on the 21st of october and I need ideas on what to get him. I'm trying to think of something different to get him please help!!!!!!!

I would suggest something hand made because it is something that cannot be duplicated or replaced.
Why not make him a scrap book, it would be a romantic gesture to the start of renewing your relationship with him.

Don't get him anything but a card, that's it. What does"working on getting back together in the near future" mean? Is he putting you off? If you where putting him off you wouldn't be so worried about a special gift for his birthday. I think you have some more questions that need answered other than this one.

Kinda hard to help you because we don't know the dude. Does he like sports? If so, what about tickets to his favorite team. You can do something special for him like a dinner and a movie at his fav place. Do something out of the ordinary, maybe lil clues through out the day with things he likes. GOod luck.

Do something with him that you know he enjoys but does'nt get to do very often or something his never done before. trying to impres him with gifts may not get you two back together, spending a good time together (quality) time. for example you could get him some nice warm clothes and go to the snow together for a day, pay for him to go rock climbing together,stuff like that!

I think you should buy him a nice outfit then take him to a nice hotel with a hot tub you make his favorite food and have it waiting in the hotel for dinner .You have on something sexy make it red with the red pumps.MAKE IT EXCITING!!!
