an amendment to what someone else wrote. Concentration camps were NOT in Germany. Germans did not want to pollute German air with Jews. Concentration camps were mainly in Poland. As a matter of fact, I think they were all in Poland.

Concentration camps also held other ethnic groups besides the Jews. Close to 3million peoples, in addition to 6 million Jews were held and killed in concentration camps during WWII. Other groups like the Gypsies, non-Jew Jewish supporters, Russians, Frenchmen etc were placed into the concentration camps.

It was a horrbile time to be a Jew in Europe. Whole families were seperated and killed.
