We've heard the line over & over on South Park but where did it come from ? Why is it repeated so often ?

Did Trey & Matt come up with this phrase or are they maybe paying tribute to a prior TV show or movie ?

Kenny gets killed in every episode except for one, which was the Christmas one. That episode guest stared Mr. Hankey, the Christmas poo. The creators of South Park said in an interview that the only reason that they kill Kenny every episode is because they like the phrase, "Oh my god, they killed Kenny." Kenny was not even supposed to be a main character. Then later on as the show became more popular, they added the last phrase on to, "Oh my god they killed Kenny, you B*astards!"

it is like the show's catchphrase. i saw an interview with trey and matt the other day and they said that kenny has been killed over 150 times

the user-friendly answer for this would be that infrequently any of the episodes ever build off one yet another. its kinda the comparable as how its been over a decade and that they are nonetheless the comparable age. its in basic terms part of the charm of the prepare. plus, who does not like kenny? damn... notably thrilling question to get this many solutions in below a minute lol
