You are using words like resolution and goals as if they are interchangeable. They are not, and lets face it most people who make new years resolutions only do it for a laugh. e.g. I'll give up drinking tomorrow. I'm still drinking and haven't technically broken my resolution.

Determination, discipline and plain 'trying'...

I can get off a bad habit such as clicking my fingers quite quickly because I find a reason on the internet and I think to myself I better not do it because this and this... It registers in my subconscious and I literally stop doing it altogether...even wanting to do it...

They've got to care, want to stick to it and most importantly try their hardest to stick to it.

By the way, awesome site, the design is just slightly frustrating, make sure you test it in 1024x768 resolution and not 800x600 resolution as the first is the most common on the internet by far, especially now...otherwise it's cool and good luck :-)

Why make a resolution for the new year, they hardly ever work. You can make a resolution at anytime of the year. I just depends on how determined you are at the time!

I think they might work, but only because it's picking a day and psyching youself up for it. Any day would do as long as you have the same time to plan for it.

it is like any resolution will only work if you are 100% committed to do or not do whatever it may be, it's all down to the individual and WILLPOWER

No - they are a complete waste of time, and why if you wish to change something in your life do you have to wait until the new year?
