wicked isn't a play, merely a musical. i've got have been given on no account considered the les mis play, so i'm no longer able to truly help with that, yet i could propose looking a coach which you on the instant are no longer conscious of so as which you have a extra physically powerful physically powerful resume. a solid coach for woman monologues is The Vagina Monologues. (yea yea i comprehend, immature ppl laugh on the become conscious of each and constantly, regardless of the uncomplicated certainty that it somewhat is a severe play and has some great monologues) you may desire to verify it out

Try the play Good People Dancing To Country Music by Lee Blessing. There's a monologue there that a young nun says. She has terets syndrome and can't stop swearing at other nuns and priests. Don't think of it as acting. Just memorize it and tell it to the people there just like you'd sit there and tell me why you're a bad actress.

My first piece of advice would be NOT TO DO A MONOLOGUE from a movie. There are more playscripts out there than movies, and all you need to do is go to the library. Look up the playwright named Neil Simon. He's written dozens of plays, and I guarantee you that you'll find a funny monologue that you can relate to in at least one of them.

If you have time, cut a piece out of "The Princess Bride", by Willem Goldberg or whoever his name was. There is also some piece called the Lone Stranger and his Friend, Toronto, that was a funny monologue I heard.

To be honest with you, from your own life. If you use someone else's monologue or a script, it will sound just like that. since you are in a class, i'm sure that they know at least a little about you so you can accentuate some of you funnier moments.
