i'm a singer in a modern rock band. haven't sing in some time, and i feel my range is down. any tips on how to improve my vocal? thanks a lot for the tips

Practice your scales and arpeggios, by doing that once a day you will gradually see a lengthening in your range. Push you voice, but not too hard, you don't want to not be able to sing at all. Oh yah, thought I'd add, DO NOT do a lot of yelling and screaming, that will hurt your vocal cords and shorten your range.

pretty much study the elements of a really good modern rock, or a a band that you actually like. That when you have the music done, you sould practice having a voice that matches with the instruments' rythm.

to help your vocals is you...what you like, and what you love...meanin the music....if you mind, and heart is into the music your voice will come out.....dont use anything for you voice this will hurt your voice...relaxe find the music you like, start singing it, slow at first,itll come around...but mainly, use your heart and soul...mayve rock aint your thing anymore...that..your heart and soul will tell ya....trust me...im a singer,,been singin for yrs....good luck and have patience, remember what go ya there..........good luck bro youll be ok
