Well, now, that depends on what you mean by good. I have a wonderful boyfriend and three great teens although they do go crazy sometimes making me justifiably crazy as well.
I had (past tense) a husband who was bipolar and I cried a lot when he was alive. I am sad that he passed away, but quite honestly, I am a much happier person because he no longer torments me with his up and down personality. So, that is kind of a good thing, right?
I have a job and a roof over my head. I don't live in a third world country. Those are all good things. So, in the overall view, I have a pretty good life which means that good things are happening.
I believe it's called point of view or perspective.

If you can find one good answer to this, you will be fortunate. Life happens. Bad happens. Good happens. I was thinking that if good things only happened to the people who deserved it, then pretty soon, the bad people would find out and do something harmful to the good people. Just a thought of mine. People have been asking that question for as long as I can remember.

It really is all in perception and looking at what comes because of it, not just the action alone. Don't get me wrong, there are many people that are victims of circumstance. Often it is in small things. Learning through experience what cannot be learned any other way. Losing something in order to gain something else. My personal opinion of the greatest problem of it all is that everyone wants a dream life, they want to be rich, healthy, happy, and borderline perfect. I think people should be grateful that they are alive and find something to be grateful for, because there is always something else that can be taken from you.

I think you meant that don't deserve it. Well, universal laws. You need to read about it. Then you'll understand the true meaning of everybody gets what they deserve. A good book for you to learn about life itself is "The Science of the Mind" one of the best books I've read in my entire life! It provided so much information, it's kind of not fair because all the secrets of life are revealed and I don't have any more mysteries to unfold because they're all in the book!

Because the people that deserve good things are inherently altruistic and selfless and place people before things, money etc, people who don't deserve good things do the opposite and are the source of all the bad things in the world.

sod's law isn't like gravity so for some, goodness slips through the cracks and lands squarely on their @ss so that's a thing to cheer for
but there are lying, conniving, ruthless, thankless for whom life is an idylic success. do they deserve it? i leave it up to a better measure of that truth than me to decide
all i know is that given the choice, i'd much rather be me

that's a good question. i think maybe cuz the people who deserve it are being made stronger by the bad things that happen to them. you can't gain strength by getting by through life easy as day...unfortunately, you need to experience the tough, and sometimes bad things to make you an even stronger, better person.

I have been in this position all my life people turn up on me ask advise I always help when I can but when I am feeling really down as I am this very moment in time I do not know who to turn to as once after caring for a friends daughter night and day she used to turn up at my home 2am at least three 5 times after words with her partner, she stayed the night her partner knew where she was and phoned the next day as he needed to go to work she was deceiving the social but had been left really comfortable with her mum saying to look after me she did ask me what do you think I should give u I said nothing as I didn't like being asked but that's long gone now and she finally fell out with me when I had to say to her little girl that she couldn't come back home with me as i had my family to sort out after going blackberry picking and the only way I had to deal with it was just to leave her to try and understand she was very jealouse of my family as she had me to herself most of the time as my family live 120 miles away but it hasn't changed me as a person but in this world there are the Givers Takers and the ones that think they are all of them and do not give a dam about anyone else they just say I keep myself to myself and that is true until they find themselves in trouble then get on the phone to as many people as they can and someone is always there to help,I don't go to church but do believe in God so I do fear him and he is the only one who can be the judge its just that it always seem to happen. The more honest and genuine you are the less your trusted as it is hard to believe that there is this person Ive heard this saying many times-( there was only one perfect Man and he was crucified!)
