Running burns a ton of calories (Cross country runners need to eat 4000-6000 cals day to keep their weight -- for 4-10mile runs).. but if ur dieting and trying to lose weight, eat a bit, dependsing on how much u run. Running tones your whole body so you can pretty much lose weight and get toned at the same time!

You will get weak when you don't eat - and you won't lose weight either!! I lost 21lbs in 6 weeks with a diet from a1diet and I didn't feel hungry at all. Go for the Protein Plus programme and you'll lose weight without feelin hungry too!! Check the link...

It can be a great way to lose weight if you burn more calories than you take in.
Also, if you've seen the joggers wearing sweats in the hottest part of the day, they're sweating off water weight. But, they think they're burning more calories by doing that.
Dress comfortably when you exercise.

Running only helps but it's still dieting that will matter. However, the longer distance you run as a form of training, the lesser you become dependent on dieting. That's for sure.

Running will burn off calories. But you also need to cut back on the calories. You will lose faster then.
