I don't believe that's true. Sticking a needle in a pimple MAY be effective if done after the "White" head has shown itself. Better not try this, what's the point?

Why would you do something stupid like that?!? To answer your question, the answer is no. You'll make yourself bleed and might get an infection. DON'T DO IT!
