I pointed out earlier on that it's approximately £23k but bear in mind this takes into account high earners and those living in London and the South East where higher salaries are offset by much bigger rents and mortgages. It would be interesting to know the mean average and also regional variations.

There is a very large difference between the mega bucks wages and the supermarket, factory, shop, carers ect., wages which are very low. They say the average wage is about £24,000 pa but in real terms for the average person it is only getting about £15,000 an there is still a lot of people getting below £10,000

In the region of £20,000 to £25,000. But realistically most people earn much less than this as this figure is skewed by the 1% of the population who own companies or are very highly trained professionals earning hundreds of thousands of pounds a year.
Last year I earned around £10,000 working full time for minimum wage (and I went to university and have had articles published in national publications).

I don't know about the average (probably around £15,000), but the salary for a first year trainee veterinary nurse is £6,000. Try living on that.

THE AVERAGE WAGE BEFORE TAX IS £260 PER WEEK .
This equates to £13,520
Then you get hammered on the tax / national insurance
Then you pay tax on everything you buy
Then you have to pay for your dental treatment
And to top it all off YOU have to pay for the upkeep of the asylum seeker`s in this country !MY appologies to the genuine asylum seekers in this country !!!!!!!!
