Alex Trebek
He tends to be really dry sometimes and corny with his attempts at jokes, but that's also what makes him so loveable. He's also so proper and classy and sophisticated. I love Alex. Pat, on the other hand, scares me. He smiles a little too much and feels kind of fake.

I don't think your question has a best answer. Alex & Pat are both excellent hosts - in different ways. Alex is classy & witty in his own way and Pat is more friendly and funny and down to earth. It's a toss-up.
BTW: (Pat is NOT gay.)

i would have to go with good old Pat... i think that he is a more "dynamic" host... as far as game shows go.
