I am often inspired to dance, but it happens when i feel like i wanna b lost in the moment and that i wish the moment will never end. I've also been part of dance teams in school and church. But i dont just dance to dance--or show, but i feel better when i dance to send a message. So am i really a dancer or something else?

my dear, it depends on your and my definition of dance, dance for me requires no pen nor paintbrush, only one instrument is necessary that is a HUMAN BODY with a given SPACE, if we don’t wish to complicate it, every motion is imbued with dance and every dance is validated when there is space, no matter the size.
you see what i mean is you have to ask this question in most quiet moment of your solitude and let it grow into different branches of your life which might be an impotant acpect of your life or not, but the essential is ask yourself am i capable, and does it give me joy? which happens to be the most important,
not even the message you pass through dance or other forms of art that matter but does it affect perception, that is your own being and that of those watching.

You are what you want, this is true. However, you sound like a lyrical dancer to me or perhaps a dancer for character (theatre dance). I think you should just keep on doing what you want and send that message! =) BB

Just because you can dance doesn't make you a dancer. You use dance to express yourself and to let out frustrations and things.

art forms like poetry or painting or dance express feelings or can be used to send a message. that does not make you less of a dancer! just more of an artist!
