Ok, so it depends on what you're doing to get pregnant.
Women who have infertility issues and use either In Vitro Fertilization of fertility drugs have a higher rate of conceiving multiples (you can conceive more then two using the InVitro method)
The drugs can cause you to hyperovulate (release more then one egg)
Unless you are having a fertility issues and are unable to get pregnant, you arent usually prescribed fertility drugs and fertility treatments are very costly.
If Fraternal Twins run on your mothers side of the family (your mother is one, or has had a set, or your grandmother is one or has had a set) then your chances increase that you will conceive Fraternal Twins (this type of twinning is caused by hyperovulating by your body) You also have a higher chance of conceiving this type of twins if you are Over 35 years old, Tall, Overweight, African American, Have had several previous pregnancies.
Fraternal twins are related as much as any other sibling that is born from seperate pregnancies. It may be 2 boys or 2 girls or 1 boy and 1 girl. They may look similiar or nothing alike.
Identical Twins are completely spontaneous and there is nothing you can do to cause this to happen. No history, no known factors, no drugs, no fertility treatments. It happens naturally when your 1 egg splits into 2. These twins can ONLY be 2 boys or 2 girls and are complete genetic copies of each other (hence the word Identical)

If twins don't run in either family then you are not going to have twins more than likely. I have always heard women that take fertility drugs have a high chance of having multiple births.

You really should not raise a child up in such an environment. A child deserves better, and you fall people should know better than to put a child at risk in such an environment. If you truely care for children you would not do so.
Beside why would want to delete the gene pool even more with your life style.
If yu have don't you just get amrried, have children and an open lifestyle away from the child . There ar emany such men looking for such an arrangement.
I would consider (if you are smart and a loving person) having an implant form a known hetrosexual so as not to create more homosexuals.

Okay, where to start...first of all, let me say I am a conservative Christian and acknowledge that many of my views about family are, uh, "traditional." But, having said that, I certainly think two homosexual parents are preferable to kids having to live in an orphanage and having no parents.
But I do think you shouldn't mess with this thing about twins. Theoretically, you could take hormones to increase the likelihood of this, but I really think that twins (or the lack thereof) is an issue you should leave to God, nature, or to whatever higher power to which you ascribe.

What does being a lesbian have to do with the question anyhow? It's not a made thing. Either you end up with twins or you don't. Do twins run in the family? If so that increases your chances but that's it. If you've been implanted with multiple fertilized eggs that helps too. But you can't do anything your self to make it happen. Sorry

Umm first of all, how can you be a lesbian and trying to get pregnant? Dont you need a man for that? First of all, talk to your doctor about getting a fertility drug (that increases your chance of having twins). And then go to a sperm bank and get some sperm or something.

assuming you are going to be artificially inseminated. Your chances of twins are pretty high with that! lol They plant quite a few at a time, because not all might take.
just keep healthy, take you vitamins and make your body a baby welcome zone! and relax!

i assume the best possiblity is to see a specialist and have several embryos implanted. I have twin girls and love it!!! it was a freak accident and a blessing at same time for me... so best of luck to the two of you xoox
