Being outgoing can really take you places in this world. Being too shy, can cause missed opportunities-especially in the corporate world. Socially, I think there is an impact as well, although, I don't know that the impact is as ususally as dramatic or even as noticeable, although it can be. I feel I can say that because I was incredibly shy as a teenager and young adult. Now? Well, let's just say, I've made a dramatic turn-around for the better!

You can be outgoing and still be yourself. You can also be outgoing without necessarily being the life of the party. That is to say, you can be outgoing enough to get yourself noticed without all eyes being on you.
