Firstly it will cause him a huge problem with the Barca fans particularly after the Figo fiasco. Secondly I dont think it will be a good move for him because Real have been in turmoil for a few years. Maybe Capello likes him but how long will Capello be there? Real need some stability in the club and they should concentrate on their own youth instead of targetting every other club's.

I tend to avoid change so i would prefer him not to move but realistically speaking it would make Real a better team and Barca would definitely suffer a loss.
It is actually really scary because Ronaldinho is also rumored to be considering a move to Real Madrid so it would be a horrific loss for Barca if both Messi and Ronnie left...

well we all know y real madrid buys all these all starts yet they dont realize that its not about buying famous players its about buying skilled players. Messi does have skill but in real madrid he might not do as well cuz in barcelona he gets alot of playing time and he does an excellent job playing for them. this is just my opinion
