NK is alleged to have carried out the detonation of a nuclear weapon in a coal mine somewhere in the mountains. The explosion registered about 4 on the Richter Scale.

Currently there is no evidence that this explosion was nuclear, but all the world leaders are throwing their toys out of the pram as if it was. It could just be a posturing by NK, to try and gain some face after they ****** up the testing of some long range missiles in the summer (long range turned out to be a couple of miles). Rocket scientists they ain't.

The UN is contemplating sanctions such as a ban on NK trading nuclear weapons (great idea guys - they are not safe. Let's ban all trade in these things by everybody) and importing of luxury goods, so as to hurt the top brass without hurting the ordinary people.

They tested a nuclear bomb. Now they just need to find a way to launch it outside their country - something that ISN'T made in North Korea.
