Yes Bangladesh is poor, and a huge amount of Asset like Gold, Diamonds, other valuable stones been sent to England by the Illegal English ruler of that time. That trend is continuing still now.
After "Kohinoor" the second most gorgeous stone of the world is "Daria-e-noor", which was used by the Nawab of Dhaka as a symbol of family pride, is now in England.
Followed by Bangladesh was ruled by the Pakistan, they also sucked the asset and blood of the Bangladeshi people. Then it comes free in 1971. Now being sucked by the India legally.
Did you know India's 5th largest remittance comes from the poor, little country Bangladesh?

however the question is what is Bangladesh famous for.....undoubtedly the answer is "the people live here"
by times they're sucked by the rulers, attacked by the natural calamities, modern country made disaster,.... but see the happy faces...... no sorrow, no grief, no regret.....are there any nation like the Bangali?

Bangladesh is a major world exporter of hemp.It is also one of the poorest countries in the world. Tourism is so low there that on the two extended trips I made there, I never found a souvenier shop in Dacca, the largest and capital city.
The abject poverty there has led me to rank it as the worst country I have ever visited and I have visited or lived in over 120 countries.
The animals in the zoo live better than some of the people - this is a true statement based on my observations.
