You can work but you'd have to report it unless you are off the books. You can make up to a certain amount and if you go over it, you would either have to pay them back or the check is less. Find out from the SS office how much you are allowed to own or make.

Very risky. We are all numbers out there and there are a lot of us, but somehow someway we are all tracked down. I wouln't risk it. You could get into some big trouble not reporting this. What would be the point if you have to report it?

you can not get ssi if you are working when you apply for it. However if you arent working and apply for it and get approved you can work and only earn a certain amount

yes you must get a card called ticket to work and you can only work under 35 hours a week. I Know cause my wife gets it through the ticket to work program.
