I do. I mean, I don't mind exchanging pics after I get to know the person but I hate when they ask me for my pic straight after the second line...Why is it? Does my appearance will make them more eager to chat with me?

Yes. I agree.
Also there's enough personal information about us available and being leaked without people strangers having the most personal thing about us, our uncensored thoughts and our identity (picture).
Doesn't make you anonymous anymore so there's not really much point is there? Once you send a picture you are being judged and in some cases a person will decide whether to be flirty with you or even stop speaking to you completely based on a photo.
I too prefer to have a conversation online and give out pictures later when I get to know them a bit better.
Since (imo) people are more brash online and there is good chance of misunderstanding/miscommunication then I think it's safer to not have something that could backfire on you. Such as a public humiliation when the person decides they don't like you anymore and posts your pictures and private conversations.
You can't repeat conversations word for word in real life. Unless of course you are recording it (which would be extremely nusual and in most cases illegal) There would be a lot of trouble if this happened.
So why people would potentially let this happen with perfect strangers online i'll never know.

YES!! I feel kind of scared when a stranger is like "so what do you look like?" especially with all the horror stories you hear these days. It's like "I don't want to meet you. We live 5 gazillion miles apart. There are 7 billion people in the world, we won't ever just 'run into each other.' Why do you want my pic you creep?"

I don't chat to anyone on line and if I did there is no way I would send my picture to them, it seems really creepy to me and that is the reason I don't chat on line, maybe you should make it plain and simple from the beginning you do not download your photographs and if they don't respond again then you know what their intention was in the first place, good luck.

the internet is an ordinary place to lie or fake to be who you at the instant are not. extremely some human beings purely seem for thrills on line, non everlasting kicks. of direction, there is likewise the ought to be inner maximum, and to avert stalkers and nutcases, so as this is why some human beings use fake photographs. and what's the alternative? photograph-police? i'm not joking -- some web pages require you to take a internet cam shot of your self, and then they touch you on line and seem at you with their internet cam, to confirm in case you adventure their photograph. some even require adult men to eliminate their shirts to take the photograph, that's somewhat controlling, yet those web pages are enthusiastic approximately administration.
