there are 8 basic components with which rocks are composed of which are as follows
quartz,aluminium,magnesium,iron,nickle,salcium,oxygen and hydrogen.
last 2 are the gases .

Oxygen, silicon, iron, calcium, aluminum, magnesium, carbon, and smaller amounts of numerous other elements. Varies a lot depending on the type of rock, of course.
