What you have to understand about the US is that their level of success only comes from their elite being smarter and better educated than our elite.

The majority of the population are, to put it bluntly, morons and Bush’s rhetoric is mainly targeted at this constituency.

Although it seems obvious to us outside the US that antagonising the rest of the world is counter-productive if your goal is national security , this is beyond the comprehension of the average feeble-minded American.

I'm not sure what his plan really is. That's what scares me.
Bush and company, have divided us on so many issues, that it is hard to keep track of all of them. Maybe, there is no real plan. The more he talks, the more people he divides. I don't know how such ineptitude, corruption has lasted so long on the Hill. It is taking its toll on the USA. It has been him and his clan that has caused mistrust not only throughout the world, but right here at home. How low.
It really p----s me off that North Korea has decided to test, or pretend to test nuclear weapons. Now we'll have to listen to Bush ding-dangin' about "Nucular" till the next crisis hits the House. Tomorrow.

He's trying to force Americans to either side with him or with the rest of the world. He's doing that by pulling those 2 things further apart, and therefore eliminating any possible middle ground, so Americans are forced to choose one of the other. It's basic Fascism 101.

I dont believe he wants everyone to hate America as much as there are people who would like to see Bush fail and will use any means necessary- even if it means shaming the country.

Because he is your typical rich kid, do nothing, live on daddy's money, spoiled, never do wrong, he is better than anyone else, and he knows best. Doesn't that sound like a typical Republican? That is why America is hated right now, and that is why Republicans aren't very well accepted today.

Maybe that's the way "compassionate conservatives" and born-again Christians are when they're trying to bring about Armageddon and the end of the world so we can all go to our heavenly reward.

He thinks that if he talks tough to americans, the rest of the world cannot hear him. Also Americans think they are the only people on this planet. Wait till the Chinese kick his *** - he'll learn then.

Actually, I think it's the Dems who are actively trying to make everyone hate America. I think most believe it themselves too.
