you sure it was Festus with the bad leg? I thought it was Chester. In fact, KNOW it was Chester.
So to answer your question, NO, Festus didn't have a bad leg. CHESTER DID!

Chester had the bum leg, not Festus. I'm old enough to remember the original series. You can still catch it the show on TVLand cable network.

yes he did.....and vestes is on the new gun smoke....but festus did have a limp......he was kicked by a mule when he was younger, so the story goes.....yes your right apple it was chester....my bad...but the story of him gettin kicked stands
