Pregnancy symptoms differ from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy; however, one of the most significant pregnancy symptoms is a delayed or missed menstrual cycle. Understanding pregnancy symptoms is important because each symptom may be related to something other than pregnancy. Some women experience pregnancy symptoms within a week of conception. For other women, symptoms may develop over a few weeks or may not be present at all. Below is a listing of some of the most common pregnancy symptoms.
Implantation Bleeding:
Implantation bleeding can be one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. About 6-12 days after conception, the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall. Some women will experience spotting as well as some cramping.
Other Explanations: Actual menstruation, altered menstruation, changes in birth control pill, infection, or abrasion from intercourse.

Hi sweetie,
I agree with "Andrew J". Also, I had a similar problem around May this year. Missed my period, I had the morning sickness, the swelling breasts, breast leakage, I couldn't tolerate the smell of meat, and most other foods except berries, bread and cheese. My pee tests kept coming back negative, and my blood test came back negative (this was a month down the road), but I still didn't quite believe because I was starting to gain weight, 10 pds infact, and my mom's tests all came back negative when she was pregnant with my older brother. When I figured I was around 6-8 weeks along (I'd missed period 2 by then), my doctor sent me for an ultra sound. Unfortunately, there was no baby. As it turns out, after some agressive research I figured out that I was having a reaction to my birth control pill (Demulin) and it was making my petuitary gland produce the hormone it makes when you are pregnant (I think the symptom is called Galactorrhea). After my doc changed my pills, I started having my period again, my boobs have finally quit leaking - though I havn't been able to shake the weight.
Good luck to you and get as much personal support as you may need.

It is possible that your period was actually implantation bleeding. It is possible too with those symptoms that you have a hormonal imbalance. So if the test comes back negative, you should see your gyno. I had a hormonal imbalance several years ago and was convienced I was pregnant even though I still had my period. I was very disappointed to when I found out I wasn't. Good Luck!
