I do not intend this to be a rock music forum (this is Q & A). I just want to keep myself up-to-date on the current styles of metal, since I am a music dinosaur. H8ters are most unwelcome to feel out of place! LOL. Kindly state which side of the Atlantic you live in, if you don’t mind. I live in Southeast Asia. Thanks.

No need for a history on heavy metal. I 've done my homework in that area. Just the latest would do. Thanks. LOL.

Alright lets see if i can make this as brief as possible..

-All started in the late 60s, with bands like Black Sabbath, Led Zepp leading the way for the hard rock/beginnings of metal music scene.

-On to the 80s, we hear MANY variations of metal; NWOBHM(new wave of british heavy metal) bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy(fmr. lead singer for the aforementioned Sabbath) with his solo career, and many more. Then you have the inroduction of American thrash metal; bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth(commonly referred to as the "Big 4" of thrash metal throughout the 80s).

-Late 80s early 90s, we are introduced to death metal (typically characterized by grunts and extremely fast music). Bands like Cannibal Corpse(considered by many to be the foreunner of this particular genre), Morbid Angel, Carcass, and MANY others with descriptive names begin to make their way onto the music scene along with the increasing popularity of the Seattle grunge scene. We also begin to hear bands from European countries such as Sweden (Dissection, Morbid to name a few), Norway (1349, Emperor) and Germany (Helloween). These tend to be MUCH heavier than American metal for the time, anyway.

-Late 90s, a new term starts circulating around: NU METAL. This basically combines the elements of metal and fuses them with rap. Bands like Linkin Park, Korn(somewhat), and Limp Bizkit are forerunners of this overhyped and misunderstood genre. This tends to be looked down upon by serious metal fans.

-00s - present; we start to hear many metalcore bands. This is sort of like a mix between metal and hardcore punk, and has become a very crowded genre so far.

Well I hope that answers your question....im not sure if you wanted a full explantion of metal over the past 4 decades lol. Oh btw, I live in CA, USA

maximum singers have 2, 3 or perhaps 4 diverse voices. a stable singer knows his variety, and each each and every now and then the voice HAS to alter to nail a undeniable intense or low be conscious. as long as you hit the be conscious, that's what counts.Having diverse voices is exceedingly cool.i did not care lots for that music in the video- it replaced into vulnerable, the sound replaced into distorted and that i could not get previous 30 seconds..
