Mine is Timbucktu

Thanks for the limerick, it cheered me up. My uncle used to make me say Timbuktu, Chimberazo and Popocatapetal when I was a baby. I think he knew someone who climbed peaks in South America and he had been a pilot in the war in Ghana at one time and they used to go to Timbuktu for downtime. Imagine a baby trying to say those words, must have been two or three and can remember everyone cracking up. Thanks folks for some great words.

MAAIFOEDIE. (my-fu-dee). It's an Afrikaans word meaning something similar to being a little rascal, naughty. It can also be used as an expression of pain.

Popocatepetl...one of the highest volcanic mountains in Mexico - heard it at school 40 years ago, but it still makes me giggle.

Otomatopia....not sure I spelled it right. It is the thing of a word sounding exactly like the thing that it is (i.e. a dog barking...to bark).

Defenestration is another one, too. It is the act of throwing someone out of a window.
