this will sound stupid a probly girly or somethin, but how do you deal with the loss of a friend(girl, but not girlfriend) who you've been friends with since 8th grade(2 years) and they suddenly got mad and never wanted to speak to you again. don't laugh or anything, be serious.

if you have done all you can to try and make things right, apologized, do something nice for her to make up for it, etc (if you haven't, shame on you!)
and she still feels the same way---- what else can you do but move on! she didn't value your friendship in the same way you did hers.

If you feel that strongly about her you should take the step and call her & email her. I don't know what happened, people don't usually cut something off without saying why, or without you knowing why. Think about if there was something you might have said or done to disappoint her, or hurt her. If she doesn't respond to your calls or email, mail her a "I miss You" card or a "Thinking of you" card and write how you feel and ask her what it is that she is upset about. Tell her you value her friendship and you don't want to loose her as a friend. Hopefully she will respond to either of three ways of contacting her. If she is your friend indeed be proactive to find out what's going on; because maybe it's not you, maybe it's something going on in her own personal life, and she could really use a friend right now. Best wishes!

Hopefully your friends anger will subside and the two of you can work out the difference you have. In anger, we all say things that we do not necessarily mean. IT sounds like he may have over-reacted.

Give you friend some space and make sure he knows that you are ready to talk when he is.

He will come around, hang in there!

well.... first the good news.
If this recently happened... it will most likely blow over and the friendship will rekindle itself..
but
if it was a betrayal issue ( secrets spilled, stealing, lying, drugs or aduse) then it is best to

1. hurt for awhile
2. join new organizations to get a WIDER group of friends
3. lick your wounds
4. Make new friendships that do not repeat old habits.

It is hard and anyone who pretends to laugh at you... is faking it to hide his/her own unresolved emotions. Honest.

Hang in there. (edit to add... can't believe the first poster and I both used...hang in there--great advice)

That can be SO hard...I would say that if she is mad because of something you did, just appologize and let her know that you are sincere. Just be there for her and if she gives you a dirty look, just smile. Hopefully she'll come around

let her cool off and try to talk with her let her know that you really care for your friendship and how much it means to you .. if she still refuses then you will have to move on and learn from your experience . everybody has losses in there lives ... good luck.
