Hell no! each year the place I stay it gets great staggering for the a million-2 weeks in the previous Easter, then like the day in the previous it get's extremely crappy and so the climate on Easter Sunday sucks. Those white things are layers of your eye that slough off while you sleep-kind of like when your skin sheds old cells. If you have excessive amounts of them, it could be due to an infection or other eye problem. Otherwise, it is normal to have them.

You are allergic to something when you're sleeping that is bothering your eyes. Trying washing your pillow case, vaccuming your room and switching to a perfume free laundry detergant.
