The United States is powerful and influential. Thus it's good and bad are potentially extensive. There is the psychology of the underdog and the psychology of the disenfranchised at issue here. In poorer, struggling, especially non-democratic and non-Christian countries it is especially easy to hate the United States. It strengthens cultural identity. There is no "cost" and much social approval to gain by openly reviling and demonizing the United States. What the U.S. does is not really so important now as the sport that is developing - the sport of hateful invective directed at the United States. There are no "winning of hearts and minds" in such a political climate. All that is offered in aid and charity will be absorbed and ignored and rationalized.
I do not agree that when other countries do something wrong "everyone just gets over it." North Korea just did something very wrong, and the world is not likely to "get over it" any time soon (Not to be confused with the idea of military strikes, which are too problematic to even consider.) By the way, the U.S. decision not to attack military and development sites in North Korea is mostly based on a fear that North Korea might immediately attack South Korea in response, but the people of South Korea will ignore and rationalize. No one in all of South Korea will praise the United States for significantly adjusting its policies to assure their short-term safety. This is just the way of the political world.

Because all too many of those US blamers honestly believe that the USA is the source of all evil in the world, or at least Bush is.
Of course, North Korea is completely blameless right? It's the USA's or Bush's fault that they had a nuke test (if true). Same thing on 9/11. Notice how nobody actually blames the terrorists and their organization that planned, funded and executed the attacks anymore?
It's always our fault and I'm sick of it! The fact is, the USA is working for world peace and safety alone, because no other country will step up to the plate and deal with issues. Need proof? Has any country done a damn thing about Darfur? Hello world! We're a little busy right now in Afghanistan and Iraq. Can one of you handle that mess? Yeah...like that'll happen anytime soon. Apparently no civilized country can manage to send a couple of thousand troops there to stop the bloodshed, unless the USA does it or pays for it.

Because the US government is the biggest, most powerful, most brutal terrorist organization the world has ever known.
But your assumptions are wrong. People get mad at other countries too. It's just that most countries are either too powerless or too civilized to be as big a threat as we are.
Makes ya proud, don't it?

If Mexico screws up, it's because the Mexican President said something very stupid.
If Austria screws up, it's because they elected a Neo Nazi candidate.
If Kenya screws up, it's because they killed a few whiteys.
If Venezuela screws up, it's because their clown president plays fool at the UN
If the USA screws up....litlerrally TENS OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS DIE.
Does that answer your question?

maybe because we are one of the super powers as and we make alot of mistakes. We are out there in the media with our business in the streets and all over the world we act superior and then do dumb things like Foley and then it is spread all over the world and makes us appear weak and divided as we argue amongst ourselves about all issues

Because it is just like children and adults. As Americans, we are suppose to handle situations in an ADULT MANNER. Some of the Middle Eastern countries and N Korea act like children, and we have to handle it in a CIVILIZED manner.

The world doesn't hate us that much.
The Democrats, who really hate us, just wants us to think the world hates us.
We support the whole world with our successful capitalism. They are jealous of us.
