I like the knee-high boots idea... But I would go with a white cotton turtleneck with the collar scrunched, not folded, and a skirt that touches the top of the boots, but will flair out WIDE if you spin around. Great mix of styles that work so well together!

Hey, Aliasred2..... she's not "GOING" to orchestra she's playing!!
That's pretty obvious!

Sweetie, go with a slimming, staight line skirt, if you have the figure for it.

Your Blouse should be simple. I don't have any pics, but you should try a simple button up that you can keep the top button undone and doesn't have a collar. Silk is very nice and makes you feel sexy, cute and special.

your jewelry should be simple as well. You usually want to wear silver with black and white. Some studs or simple dangling earrings and a silver rope chain with a small keepsake on it for a necklace and that's it.

As far as shoes, go to WalMart and look in the women's dress shoe department. You should be able to find a great pair of shoes to go with the outfit. A 2" heel will be the best. Why does it need to be closed, though? An open toed is much more appealing and gives your legs a better look.

Don't fret sweetie you'll look just fine no matter what you wear.
I'm sure you're more afraid of playing in front of a crowd than your outfit and you just needed to vent it somehow.

You'll do fine. Just pretend that you are at home playing in front of the mirror and the crowd is just your friends standing behind you.

Good Luck!

Ok...for the black skirt...go for a pencil skirt. They go usually a little pass your knees and are very slimming. Instead of wearing just a regular white shirt...wear a white blose...something that can either be tucked in or can be worn outside of your skirt with a slim belt around your waist.

Make sure your shoes are black and closed toed since you are going to the orchestra. Open toe shoes are only appropriate if the weather permits...but usually one should wear closed toe shoes to evenings functions. Hope you like the pics I send: Have fun!

I think you should get a nice button up shirt (your grandma would call it a blouse) and get a cute one! there are tons out there. get an A-line skirt or something that really shows you off. for the shoes, get knee high dress boots if thats ok. sorry no pics, I dont have time for that.
