What would boys think? Im not a big, fat, sweaty person who can fart on her/his tuba all day. And I am pretty good at it too! I can beat those boys any day. What are your opinions on this? Do you think it is cool? Thanks.

Well lets just say I am not the skinniest of them all but My height makes up for all of it. I am about 6 foot, but I have been dropping the tuba because it is so heavy.

You go for it. If you are good at it, why care about what anyone else thinks. And if you can beat the guys, definitely go for it.
One time my son's hockey team (he was about 6 or7) got their butts whopped by an all girl hockey team...their motto --- Girl's rule! Boys drool!
The girls were so cute and they were good. They were getting the confidence and skills to deal in a man's world, their parents should have been commended.
You go play the tuba. Be the best tuba player you can be and if people don't like...ignore them, you know how much you paid for their opinon (Nothing) and you still did not get your money's worth!

One of the cutest girls in music school played tuba. So, no, this is not wierd at all. As a tuba player myself I have had A LOT of girls say that they really wanted to play the tuba but their mom wouldn't let them, they had to play the flute. So go for it! It's a lot of fun! If you truly enjoy it and you're good at it... why should you be anything other than proud?!?! Pssh I wish I knew how to play an instrument well... so if you like it then it's cool! And don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!!
